Over het voorkomen van Dialytrichia mucronata var. fragilifolia in Nederland
H.N. Siebel
1-6
On the occurence of Dialytrichia mucronata var. fragilifolia in the Netherlands - A revision of herbarium collections showed that Dialytrichia mucronata var. fragilifolia Bizot & J.Roux occurs in the Netherlands and is more common in the Dutch river area than var. mucronata. The former is known in the Netherlands since 1843. Records of the latter date from 1994 onwards only. Drawings of Dialytrichia mucronata in Dutch literature depict var. fragilifolia. A study of the collections from the Netherlands and from some other countries revealed that the crenate leaf margin, facilitating a fragile lamina between the leaves, is the only reliable difference between the taxa. As differences in ecology and distribution appear to be small as well, var. fragilifolia is distinguished only at variety level.

Bryophytes near motorway A15 between Tiel and Geldermalsen (Betuwe region) - Close to the motorway A15, between the town Tiel and the village of Geldermalsen (Betuwe region), a 5 x 5 km square qith no post-1980 records of bryophytes was visited on September 23 2006. The inventory at 4 localities in different km-squares revealed 66 taxa, none of tem extremely rare or endangered. Some are noteworthy however, e.g. Cryphaea heteromalla, a rare epiphyte until about 1980, but spreading since ten. Te rare Leptodontium flexifolium was encountered as well, abundantly growing at its favoutite substratum: a thatched roof of the house owned by one of the party members. A fine showcase of Pottiaceae was encountered at the last locality, including Tortula modica, T. truncata and Microbryum davallianum (both varieties).

Over het voorkomen van Tortula subulata var. angustata in Nederland
H.N. Siebel
18-20
On the occurence of Tortula subulata var. angustata in the Netherlands - Based on a partial revision of Tortula subulata from the Netherlands, three collections of T. subulata var. angustata (Schimp.) Limpr. were found. They all came from the river area, two from forests on clay soils. In accordance with the recognition of the taxon in other European countries, the reinstatement on the Dutch checklist is proposed, not as a species, but only as a variety.
