Calcareous rock outcrops,
formed by erosion due to logging can be found in the southern
part of the province of Limburg. Rockfaces on the Bemelerberg and Sint
Pietersberg
are monitored for species like Cladonia peziziformis, Fulgensia
fulgens and Squamarina cartaliginea.
